Betty Willard

Mrs. Betty Daniels Willard, 87, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully Sunday, September 4, 2022. Mrs. Willard was born in Forsyth County to the late Lawrence Daniels and Ruth Savage Daniels on December 19, 1934.

She was a member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church and loved her church family. Betty was a longtime member of Bethania Moravian Church for many years, she stayed active in the church and The Women’s Fellowship program.

She enjoyed spending her time playing bridge and enjoyed interior decorating.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Willard was preceded in death by her siblings, Lawrence Daniels Jr., Mary Daniels, Bobby Daniels, and Dorothy Daniels Hawkins.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Thomas “Wade” Willard; son, David Willard (Marcia); daughter, Vickie Idol; grandchildren, Jason Willard, Anna Southworth (Mark), and Matthew Jester (Shelia); great-grandchildren, Anna and Katelyn Jester, Adrianna Willard, Elizabeth, and William Southworth.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Monday September 19, 2022, at New Philadelphia Moravian Church, Inurnment will follow at the graveyard. Family will receive friends after service. Online condolences may be sent to www.hayworth-miller.com.
