Betty Allen Vogler

Ms. Betty Jo Allen Vogler, 69, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009, after years of declining health at Bermuda Commons Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Forsyth County on November 28, 1940 to Joe Loughton and Margaret Griffith Allen. Mrs. Vogler lived most of her life in Clemmons and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Vogler was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Allen; and a sister, Nancy Allen. She is survived by her son, Samuel Keith Vogler and his wife Becky of Lexington; grandchildren, William Eric Vogler and Sarah Elizabeth Vogler, both of Lexington; a sister Cornelia Allen Stiles and husband Louis of Clemmons; three nephews, Kenneth Ridings, Robert A. Vogler, Jr., and Greg Vogler; a niece Denise Tutterow; and numerous cousins. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Yadkin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Hardy officiating. Those wishing to pay their respects to Ms. Vogler may come by Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Friday, December 11, 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Arthritis Foundation., PO Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077-7491, Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Davie County, 377 Hospital Street, Suite 103, Mocksville, NC 27028 or the charity of the donor's choice in Mrs. Vogler's name.
