Winston-Salem – Mrs. Betty Tucker Teague, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on November 29, 1930 in Berrien County, Georgia to Dempsey and Ione Tucker. Betty was a charter member of Konnoak Hills United Methodist Church where she was a Women’s Fellowship Leader. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, McLeland Teague and four brothers. She is survived by three children, Belinda T. Bovender (husband, Tim), Sandy Tesh (husband, Donnie), and Sarah T. Brett (husband Darrin); six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Rayfield (husband, Don); and one brother, Herman Tucker (wife, Amelia).
A graveside service for Betty will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Hutchens officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Konnoak Hills United Methodist Church at 430 Weisner St, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
