Betty Fletcher Snyder

Kernersville - Betty Fletcher Snyder, 76, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Betty was born on January 31, 1940 in Randolph County to Foy Sidney and Evelyn Matthews Fletcher. Betty loved cooking, singing and working in her flowers. She enjoyed visits to the mountains and the beach and especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Wayne and Jackie Fletcher. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Arnold Curtis Snyder; three sons, Gary (Lisa) Whittington, Dale (Karen) Whittington, and Barry (Sheri) Whittington; a stepson, Harold (Robin) Snyder; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters, Edith (David) Stewart and Charlotte (James) Heath; and a brother, Richard Fletcher.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. The family extends a special thanks to PA Barbara Goldsmith, and nurses, Brooke Simmons, Christy, and Joanne.
