Betty Rogers Siegle, age 85, went home to be with the Jesus on Sunday, November 22nd, 2020.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24th at Central Terrace United Methodist Church located on Devonshire Street in Winston-Salem, NC.
Betty was born on November 27th, 1934, to the late Wessie and Harry B. Rogers in Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 47 years, Richard Gibbons Siegle in 2007.
Betty is also survived by her two daughters Alison Meeks and husband Clark, and Barbara Tysinger and husband Mark. Grand children are Christi Bradham, Curtis Meeks and Eric Meeks. Great Grandchildren are Clara, Claudia, Charli and Zoey. Betty also has two Great-great Grandchildren Iva and Andrew.
Of her many accomplishments, Betty graduated from Gray High School in Winston-Salem and was a member of the National Honor Society. She went on to work as an employee of Wachovia for 38 years and retired in 1993 as a Bank Officer. She was also a lifelong member of Central Terrace UMC and an active member of the United Methodist Women.
Betty was known for her outstanding attitude and warm, gentle spirit of love, kindness and generosity. Her greatest joys were her family and her lifelong friendships from school, work, church and line dancing. She truly loved her many friends and family and we all loved her in return. She will be missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude and special “Thanks” to Dr. Betsy English for her years of excellent care.
