Betty Ann Jones Shepherd

Mrs. Betty Ann Jones Shepherd, age 76 of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday morning, May 27, 2009 at her home. Betty was born September 23, 1932 in Lyon County, KY to the late Newman C. and late Grace Edna Richardson Jones. She was a member of Welcome Door Baptist Church in Kernersville. Betty enjoyed her grandchildren and will be greatly missed by them. Surviving is her husband of 53 years: Bill Shepherd of the home. One daughter: Theresa (Keith) Ballard of Blews Creek and One son: Tommy (Tammy) Shepherd of Walkertown. Three grandchildren: Jessica Ballard, Ashley Shepherd, and Emily Shepherd. A great grandchild: Aubrie One sister: Barbara Burnam of KY. A graveside service will be conducted Friday morning, May 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown by Rev. Roger Pinnix. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 until time of the graveside service in the Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel. The family request that memorials be made to the Welcome Door Baptist Church, 6741 Vance Road, Kernersville, NC 27284 Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is serving the Shepherd family.
