Betty Jean Lapish Reavis age 82 passed peacefully surrounded by family on Sept 04, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. Born November 9,1939 in Winston-Salem to John David Lapish Sr. and Ruby Jane Lash Lapish, she graduated from Mineral Springs HS Class of 1958. In 1956 she married the love of her life Kelly Reavis, Sr. making their home in Lewisville, NC. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, brother John D. (Buddy) Lapish Jr. and beloved furbaby, Lacey. She is survived by a daughter Olivia Rene Hatcher-Cottingham of Clemmons, two sons, Kelly Reavis Jr. and wife Cathy, and Jeff Reavis of Greensboro. One granddaughter, Kathryn Muhlenkamp and husband Cameron. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Williams and husband Howard of Rural Hall and sisters-in-law, Nancy Lapish of Rural Hall and Joanne Steadmon of Winston-Salem, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews. Betty gave her life to Christ as a young girl and took any opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others. She was a longtime member of Grapevine Baptist Church serving as pianist for many years. She worked for Western Electric, the WSFC School System and Ingram Chiropractic in Winston-Salem. A family visitation will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm and a memorial service at 3:00 pm at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses of The Comprehensive Cancer Center, Atrium Wake Forest, Trellis Supportive Care, and The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for their kind and compassionate care. We would also like to thank the staff and administration at Cadence in Clemmons.
