Betty Ball Parks

Betty Ball Parks, 72 of Winston-Salem, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Ms. Parks was born August 4, 1936 in Forsyth County, a daughter of Florence Fishel Ball and the late R.B. Ball. She was a member of Konnoak Hillso Moravian Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lee Davis, and brothers, Archie Ball and R.J. Ball. She is survived by her mother, Florence Ball, sons, James E. Davis and Daniel Jay Davis, daughter-in-law Rachael Davis, sister, Helen Jones and husband Bud, 2 sisters-in-law, Fay Ball and Dorothy Ball, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Konnoak Hills Moravian Church with Rev. John D. Rights officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard, ""God's Acre"". Ms. Parks will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Service, Inc. 3175 Maplewood Ave Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Hospice of Forsyth County 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
