Mrs. Betty Bryant Nichols, 84, danced her way to Heaven on June 6, 2013. She was born March 6, 1929 in Forsyth County to the late Leonard Bryant and Nettie Bates Bryant. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and attended Hanes Baptist Church. Mrs. Nichols attended Clemmons School and retired from AT&T with 30 years of service. She enjoyed square dancing at the Clemmons VFW with her husband, Buford L. Nichols, Sr. who preceded her in death in February 2002. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Nichols is survived by two daughters, Kerry Nichols Robinson and husband David of Burlington, and Kathy Nichols McBride and husband Don of Winston-Salem; a son, Buford L. ""Nicky"" Nichols, Jr. and wife Donna of Churchland; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Gail B. Poe of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by numerous loving family members. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, June 10, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jason Holley and Pastor J. B. Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
