Betty Ann King Nail

Mrs. Betty Ann King Nail passed away April 1, 2015 at Springwood Care Center. She was born on September 30, 1927 in Rockingham County, to the late William Arthur King and Georgia Dunivant King. Betty was a member of First Wesleyan Church for many years and later Woodland Baptist Church, until her health failed. She retired as a Cafeteria Worker in the Forsyth County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Vestal Nail, Jr.; brothers Leo King and Delano Shelton; and a sister Joy Carter. Betty is survived by four children; Rick Nail of Hinesville, GA, Mike Nail (Jenny) of Winston-Salem, David Nail of Mooresville, NC, and Byron Nail of Winston-Salem; grandchildren Jodi, Josh, Casie, Tyler, Tiffany, and Demetria; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Dot Barlow, Mary Allred, and Jeanette Walsh (James); sister in law Jo Shelton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Minister Vic Pyles officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, April 3, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Springwood Care for their compassion and concern over the past two years for Mrs. Betty Nail.
