Betty Lou Myers

Mrs. Betty Lou Spease Myers, age 79, of Advance NC went into the presence of her Lord on Friday, April 18, 2014. She was born July 30, 1934 in Pfafftown NC to Eugene and Mary Bailey Spease. She graduated from Lewisville High School 1952 and worked for Hanes Brands, Inc until her retirement. In June 1963, she married her best friend and soul mate Alvin Long Myers who is surviving of the home. She and Alvin have two children, Melissa (Jesse) Garvin and Robert Myers who are also surviving her. In 2004, she welcomed triplet grandchildren Aidan, Bailey and Cameron Garvin, who she enjoyed immensely. Betty lived her life to help others with generosity, kindness or just an ear to listen. She was best known for her wonderful cakes and chicken and dumplings. Others who will miss her presence are her sister, Ruth Ellen Charles and her brothers, Jimmy (Shelby) Spease, Gene (Linda) Spease and Johnny (Brenda) Spease, her Brother-in-law Raymond Myers and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, April 21, 2014 at Elbaville United Methodist Church by Dr. Bob O'Keef and Rev. Ed Carter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
