Betty Landreth Crews Morris

KERNERSVILLE - Betty Landreth Crews Morris, 83, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Piney Grove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 18, 1929 in Forsyth Co. to the late Lum Hammock and Sudie Jane Sapp Landreth. Betty was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church since 1954 where she served as a Sunday school teacher, and on the baptism committee. She also was a homebound and circle member. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Lee Crews, Jr.; and brother, JC Landreth. Surviving are her husband, William Calvin Morris of the home; two sons, Thomas Lee Crews, III and wife, Rhonda of Walkertown, Teddy Ray Crews and wife, Gail of Colfax; brother Scotty Michael Landreth and wife, Phyllis of High Point; sister, Iris (Jo Ann) Smith of Asheboro; five grandchildren, Tonya, Derrick, Thomas Lee IV ""Chip"", Meghan, and Amber; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Katie, Will, Thomas Lee V ""Ty"", Peyton, and Thomas. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Union Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Arbor.
