Betty McMichael McNeil

Mrs. Betty McMichael McNeil, age 75 of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013. She was born July 31, 1937 in Forsyth County to the late Obie and Fannie Campbell McMichael. Mrs. McNeil was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Franklin McNeil. She is survived by one son, Rich McNeil and wife Terri of Advance; one daughter, Beverly Abercrombie and husband Gray of Statesville; five grandchildren, Hannah, Victoria and Coleman McNeil and Ashlyn and Meredith Abercrombie; four sisters, Abbie McMichael, Helen Hester, Velda Walsh and Barbara Lunsford all of Belews Creek and one brother, Eddie McMichael also of Belews Creek. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Dr. Gary Chapman. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be 4:00 PM Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Purlear, NC.
