Betty Martin

Kernersville - Mrs. Betty Carol Davis Martin, 73, passed away Friday, December 23, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth Co. August 13, 1944 to the late James Grant Davis and Vera Estelle Hall Davis. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who had a servants heart, and always looked for opportunities to serve others. She loved her family, and one of her favorite things was to spend time with her grandchildren, they were her world. Betty was also a faithful member of New Journey Fellowship. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Wells.
Surviving are; her loving husband of 41 years, Fred Martin, a daughter, Joy Martin Linde (Cameron), a step daughter, Amy Yeatts, grandchildren, Hunter, Abby, Riley, and Lexi; three nephews, Eddie Wells (Cammie), David Wells (Tammy), Terry Wells (Jane), along with her great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 6:30 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at New Journey Fellowship with Pastor Tim Blackburn, and Pastor Daniel Hawtree. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 6:15 PM at the church prior to the service. Burial will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
