Mrs. Betty Jo Taylor Marquis, 79, of Winston-Salem, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, February 5, 2018. She was born June 11, 1938 in Lake Wales, FL, to the late William Taylor and Flora Rea Blocker Taylor. Mrs. Marquis worked for Farmers Dairy, the Oxford Orphanage/Masonic Home for Children, and Mayberry Ice Cream Restaurant. Preceding her in death are her parents, a daughter, Becky Jo Carpenter, and a sister, Shirley Forsythe. Surviving are her husband, Donald E. Marquis; four children, Cynthia Carpenter, Debra Frye and husband Doug, Robin Carpenter and wife Risa, and Ginger Wiggins and husband Dennis; many well-loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and four siblings: Charles Taylor of Louisiana, Susan Thompson of Florida, Sandy Currie of Florida, and Terry Inlow and wife Jennifer of Utah. A memorial service will be held in her honor 12:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Pastor Doug Klein.
