Betty McBride Lanier

Mrs. Betty McBride Lanier, 84, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital. Mrs. Lanier was born on April 23, 1930 in Forsyth County to Oscar Lyde and Pernie Carter McBride, Sr.. She retired from Thalhimers Department store with 40 years of service. Mrs. Lanier was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Jefferson Lanier; and a sister, Dixie McBride. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Belinsky of Greensboro; a granddaughter, Jamie Blasko and husband Abe of Durham; and a sister, Oleta Jester of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00PM Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to Greenhaven Nursing Home in Greensboro, NC for the care they gave her.
