Betty Moore Jones

Mrs. Betty Moore Jones passed away and went to her heavenly home on October 10, 2012. She was born September 22, 1932 to Walter and Elizabeth Bowman Moore in Surry County. Mrs. Jones was a member of Jedburg Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for years. She worked for the City of Winston-Salem as well as Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC where she earned a special achievement award for her excellent work as a secretary in the Human Resources department. She was a loving wife, mother; terrific grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Charlie F. Jones, Sr.; a son, Charlie F. Jones, Jr. (Vickie); and a daughter, Rosalind Brennan (Paul); as well as three grandsons, Jeramie Eads (Christie), Jeffrey Jones and Brian Brennan. Mrs. Jones is also survived by a great granddaughter Kaelan Eads; and one brother, Bill Moore (Linda). A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Jones officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at hayworth-miller.com.
