Betty Sue Crotts Jones

Betty Sue Crotts Jones, 86, of Winston-Salem died on May 14, 2016 at her home. She was born on August 28, 1929 to William Fred and Tobitha Langston Crotts in Forsyth County. She grew up in the Baptist faith. Mrs. Jones was an honor graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School. She worked for the Veterans Administration, Thomas McKinnon Securities, and retired from Tanglewood Park with 27 years of service. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Lester Jones, in 2000. Mrs. Jones is survived by three daughters: Susan Bailey of Decatur, GA; Bonnie Dyson (William Thompson) of Brandon, FL; Krista Athan (Larry) of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren: Lindsay Philemon (Daniel); Michael Bricolo (Michelle); Devin Athan; four great grandchildren: Chance, Addison, Cole, Bryce; two stepdaughters: Susan Keiger (Billy) of Winston-Salem, Vicki Lineback (Ellis) of Huntersville; six step grandchildren: Tosha, Bradley, Jennifer, McKenna, Kadie, and Alaina; four step great grandchildren: Dalton Brooke, Emma, and Taylor. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Kevin Kilbreth officiating. A private interment will follow at Rose Cemetery in Mocksville, NC.
