Betty Anne Preston Hicks

Winston-Salem- Betty Anne Preston Hicks, 77, passed away November 3, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born May 5, 1935 in Forsyth County to the late Vernon Preston and Verna Goode Preston. She was a member of Hope Moravian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren and family. Ms. Hicks is survived by her daughter, Terri Merritt and husband David; three grandchildren, Ashley Quigley and husband Bruce, Melanie Merritt, and Laura Merritt; two great-grandsons, Matthew Quigley and Bryan Quigley; a brother, Buddy Preston and wife Barbara; a great-uncle, Carl Goode; a niece, Misty Holleman and husband Jeff and their family. She is also survived by many cousins and loving friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Hope Moravian Church with the Rev. David Merritt officiating. Inurnment will follow in God's Acre at Hope Moravian Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
