Betty Branch Hammock

Kernersville - Mrs. Betty Branch Hammock, 77, passed away March 22, 2012 at the Lutheran Home in Winston Salem. She was born April 1, 1934 in Forsyth Co. to the late Charlie Branch and Tessie Childress. Betty was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She loved many things, especially traveling, gardening, camping with the Camel Caravan Trailer Club, and most of all spending time with her grandsons. Mrs. Hammock was a Ham Operator with the call letters W4T0B. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Marvin Maynard Hammock and two sisters Burnell Sides, Peggy Harp and a brother J.C. Branch. Surviving are; her two daughters, Sonia Gaye Hammock of Winston Salem, and Vicky H. Crouch and husband Randy of Desark, Arkansas, two grandsons, Nicholas Crouch and wife Bridgette of Jonesboro AR., and Joseph Ryan Coalson of Walkertown, two brothers Pete Branch (Phyllis) and Donald Branch (Phyllis). A Graveside Service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, March 26, 2012 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown by Bro. Don Middleton. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
