Betty Jane Boggs Goodwin

Mrs. Betty Boggs Goodwin, 86, passed away May 16, 2016. She was born June 23, 1929 in Forsyth County to the late Robert McKinley Boggs and Rosa Messick Boggs. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She graduated from Lewisville High School class of 1947 and graduated from Draughon's Business College. She retired as office manager with R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 42 years of service. Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Walter Goodwin and her brothers, Marshall Ray Boggs and Thomas Gray Boggs. She is survived by her brother, Michael Evan Boggs and wife Diane and her two nephews, Justin Michael Boggs and Evan Robert Boggs. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville chapel with the Pastor Jay McGuirk officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service. The family would like to give special thanks to Clemmons Village II for all the loving care given to Mrs. Goodwin for the time she lived there.
