Betty Weavil Doub

Betty Weavil Doub, 89, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Betty was born in Davidson County, to the late Ernest and Vada Weavil. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jacob Mock Doub, Jr., siblings, Margaret Payne, Clewell Weavil, Juanita Kelly, Bob Weavil, and Ned Weavil, and her grandson, Jack Doub.

She is survived by her sons, Jacob Mock Doub III (Gwen) and William Matthew Doub (Veronika); grandchildren, Nicole Bell, Kelli Doub, and Dylan Doub; stepgrandchildren, Alexandra Craig and Anton Mikhalev; great-grandchildren, Nia Bell, Cyenna Bell, and Jackson Bell; and siblings, Jim Weavil, Bruce Weavil, and Helen Starns.

A celebration of Betty's life will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2 pm at Calvary Moravian Church. Burial will follow the service at Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
