Betty Jo Ellen Westmoreland Darr

Mrs. Betty Jo Ellen Westmoreland Darr 72 loving mother, grandmother and wife passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 24th, 2013. She was born January 10th, 1941 in Forsyth County to Paul G and Catherine Walker Westmoreland. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Al Westmoreland. Mrs. Darr was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School and retired from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with 25 years of service. Mrs. Darr was a member of Sprague Street and Pinedale Christian Church for 50 years. She is survived by her husband Jack Darr, one Daughter who was born on her birthday, Betty Anne Colbert and son in law Darren of Winston-Salem. One son, David Darr and daughter in law Amy of Raleigh. Two grandsons, Taylor Colbert of Winston-Salem and Dawson Darr of Raleigh, a sister in law Judy D Charles and brother in law Don of Winston-Salem. Sister in law Marie Westmoreland of Wilmington. Several Nieces and Nephews, with other extended family members. Two very special friends Nancy and Cheryl Williams. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 pm Wednesday May 29th, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Bob McCaskill and Rev. Bill McKenzie officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the donor's choice.
