Mrs. Betty Lou Johnson Danner, 86, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Betty was born May 31, 1935, in Forsyth County to Vernon Johnson and Julia Ball Johnson.  She retired from Lanier Worldwide with 30 years of service and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.  In her free time, she and her husband, Charles, enjoyed bowling and in her later years watching various birds and wildlife at her son’s home.  Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren and valued her time spent with them.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Danner, and sister, Helen Covington.

Betty is survived by her sons, Steven Danner and wife Anita, Keith Danner, and Mark Danner; grandchildren, Magen, Nathan, Kevin, Jennifer, Sarah, Julie, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Madison, and Hailey; sister, Dorothy Boyles; and best friend, Kay Marion.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 2 PM at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel prior to the service.
