Mrs. Betty Lou Parks Billings, 77, of Winston-Salem passed away March 1, 2011 at Silas Creek Manor. She was born May 5, 1933 in Forsyth County to the late Lindsay Marion Parks and Mittie Lou Key Parks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Billings, a son, Steven Odell Billings, a granddaughter, Ashley Billings, two brothers, Ed and Lester Parks, two sisters, Mary Hilton and Jerri Crews. Mrs. Billings was retired from Southern Tool with 25 years of service. She enjoyed going to yard sales, working with crafts and cooking. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived her two sons, Robert Michael Billings and wife Joyce and Allen Wayne Billings; thirteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Flossie Holder, Ruby Lee Hicks and husband Harold, and Frances James and husband Roger. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, March 4, 2011 at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Mitch Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
