Mrs. Betty Hill Baker, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, January 18, 2018. She was born in Forsyth Co. on November 1, 1931 the daughter of the late Lewis Roosevelt Hill and Carrie Mae Hege Hill. Mrs. Baker was a member of First Baptist Church of King, as well as, a member of the church choir. She loved music, singing and dancing. Mrs. Baker enjoyed making and sharing her homemade bread with family and friends. She had retired from Brady Furniture Co. and was currently working for Arbor Ridge at Stanleyville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Wayne Baker; and her siblings, Andrew Hill, Florence Hill, George Hill, Willis Hill, R.L. Hill and Vernon Hill. She is survived by her son, Mark Baker and wife Amy of Oak Ridge; two grandchildren, Ben and Emma Baker; two sisters, Mallie Truett (Bob) of Winston-Salem and Mariah Prior (Bobby) of Bowling Green, FL; two brothers, Terry Hill (Nancy) and Phillip Hill (Gina) both of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by a very special friend, David Binkley of Lewisville. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at First Baptist Church of King with Dr. Tommy Pillow officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: First Baptist Church of King.
