Betty Ashburn

Mrs. Betty Stoltz Ashburn, 82, passed away Monday December 5, 2022. She was born February 4, 1940, in Forsyth County to the late Hobert Russell Stoltz and Stella Smatha Walker. Betty was a loving and sweet woman who cherished her family and enjoyed watching TV game shows. Betty retired after over fifty years of dedicated service to Hanes Hosiery, and also worked for over twenty years at Hills BBQ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Ashburn, Sr., and a grandson, Shea Ashburn. Betty is survived by her two children; Billy Joe Ashburn, Jr. (Tammy), and Lynn Ashburn-Ketner (Keith), a grandson; Brian Ketner (Emily), and two great-granddaughters; Hailey Ketner, and Savannah Ketner. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00AM Thursday December 8, 2022, at Rural Hall Memorial Park, 531 Tobaccoville Road Rural Hall, NC 27045, with Rev. Josh Tufte and Mrs. Lynn Ashburn-Ketner officiating.
