Betsy Ann Nimmo Gordon was called home by our Lord on Nov. 21, 2015 to complete a journey she began on Dec. 19, 1926. She was born in Winston-Salem to Charles Franklin Nimmo and Edith Shore Nimmo. Her baptism and confirmation took place at Westwood Presbyterian, Cincinnati, OH. She attended school in Ohio through her junior year returning to Winston-Salem to graduate from Gray High School in 1945. On March 29, 1947 she married Dwight Lionel Gordon at Waughtown Baptist Church. Betsy oil painted photographs, possessed an envious handwriting, held many positions in various PTOs, produced lovely hand-knit or sewn items and gave service to Konnoak Hills Moravian Church as Women's Fellowship President, Board of Elders and Bible Study Leader. She stated her best of times were knitting, reading, traveling, being Nana, and working at Old Salem as a Visitor Information Specialist. Betsy was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include a son, Robert Keith Gordon of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Cheryl Todd (David) of Myrtle Beach; a grandson, Tate Gordon Todd of Myrtle Beach; great grandchildren, Jones and Stella Todd of Myrtle Beach; brothers-in-law, Charles Gordon (Nancy) of Greensboro, and Ross Gordon (Angie) of Winston-Salem; sister-in-law, Ruth Hooker of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at Konnoak Hills Moravian Church with Rev. John Rights officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private at God's Acre.
