Betsy 'June' Fisher Freeman

KERNERSVILLE - Betsy June Fisher Freeman, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born September 22, 1931 in Madison Co. to the late Ronald Buford and Cleta Howell Fisher. June was a lady of many titles; mother, sister, grandma, memaw ""Aunt"" grandma, neighbor and friend. She was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church and attended Manna Baptist Church where her son pastors. She loved working crossword puzzles, reading Grace Livingston Hill books and was an excellent seamstress. June loved her home and enjoyed being there. Mostly she loved Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce William Freeman, Sr.; brothers, Reeves and Frank Fisher; and son-in-law, Ken Walker. Surviving are five daughters, Judy Walker of Concord, Lila Roberts and husband, Lonnie of GA, Linda Russell and husband, Jimmy of McLeansville, Kay Haynes and husband, Kevin of Belews Creek, Janet Lane and husband, Tracy of Huntersville; her son, Rev. Bruce ""Brucie"" Freeman, Jr. and wife, Darla of Kernersville; six grandchildren, Scott, Alicia, Ben, Meg, Marshall and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Jenna and Seth; two sisters, Hope Rice and Averyl Baldwin both of Marshall; sister-in-law, Ruth Fisher of Asheville; and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, June 3, 2011 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Freeman, Jr. and Mike McCollum officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation Of The Triad, 2129 Ray T.
