Betsy "Lynn" Stewart Cox-Yoder

Betsy ""Lynn"" Stewart Cox-Yoder, 69, went home to be with our Savior on Monday, November 23, 2015. She was born on September 20, 1946 in Forsyth County to the late William ""Bill"" Stewart and Ruth Hartman Stewart. Lynn was a former member of Friedland Moravian Church and a current member of Unity Moravian Church. She played the clarinet in the Moravian band. She served as church secretary at Fries Memorial Moravian Church and worked in accounts payable at IBM and Coldwell Banker. Lynn enjoyed studying the Bible, painting, sewing, playing bridge, fishing, traveling, and helping with disaster relief. She loved her family, especially spending time with her adoring grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Howard Cox and a step-daughter, Dottie Yoder. Surviving is her husband, Allen Yoder; daughter, Melissa Cox of Winston-Salem; son, Stewart Cox (Amy) of Matthews, NC; step-daughter, Margie Akers (Mark) of Christiansburg, VA; step-son, Allen Yoder (Beth) of Eggleston, VA; step-son, Denton Yoder (Janet) of Shawsville, VA; eleven grandchildren, Audrey, Lauren, Kari, Joshua, Daniel, Amy, Madonna, Jake, Justin, Joshua, and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren, Abram and Eli. Also surviving is a sister, Hilda Vestal (Johnny) of Clemmons and a brother, Wesley Stewart (Kay) of High Point. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Unity Moravian Church. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends at 6-8 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Elms for the outstanding care they gave Lynn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Moravian Church, 8300 Concord Church Road, Lewisville, NC 27023 or to Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), www.bsfinternational.org/ways-to-donate.
