WINSTON-SALEM- Mrs. Bessie Huff Beck, 94, of Winston-Salem passed away February 28, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born June 20, 1916 in Yadkin County to the late Abner Huff and Rosa Reece Huff. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Beck and by her second husband, Russell Beck. Mrs. Beck was a member of Olivet Moravian Church and was retired from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System and enjoyed working with her flowers. She is survived by her four children, Shirley Harper, Brenda Grindstaff (Norman), Linda Davis (Douglas), and Ronald Beck (Debbie); three step-children, Russell Beck, Jr. (Louise), Margie Seymour, and Dorothy Edwards; eleven grandchildren, Kevin Harper, Betsy Harper, Jason Harper (Amy), Chad Grindstaff (Miranda), Christie Grindstaff, Amber Grindstaff, Brian Davis (April), Mandy Davis, Kyle Beck, Alex Beck, and Andrew Beck; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; nineteen step-great-grandchildren; ten great-great-step-grandchildren; and a special friend, John Petree. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Olivet Moravian Church with the Rev. Douglas Rights officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard.
