Bertie Gwen Player Little

Mrs. Bertie P. Little passed to Heaven on September 8, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on April 4, 1912 in Charleston County, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon O. Little and a son, Harold E. Little. She was a talented artist, writer of stories, poems and songs. She played several instruments and would often sing along, all for the joy of family and friends. She did beautiful needlework. Everything she did, she did excellently. Our loss is Heaven's gain. She is survived by a son, Wayne of Raleigh, daughters, Fay Cobb (Earl) of Asheville, Josephine Little of Winston-Salem, Carolyn Jaynes (Tom) of Winston-Salem, Jerrel Bell (Ed) of Walnut Cove. Also surviving are grandchildren, Deidre Crawford of Orlando, Brad Deal of Charlotte, Kyle Deal of Winston-Salem, Dr. Stephen Cobb of New Bern, Dr. Michael Cobb of Stevenson Ranch, CA, Gregory Jaynes of Pfafftown, Scott Bell of Phoenix, AZ, Tammy Bell of Walnut Cove, Teddie Frazer (Bill) of Winston-Salem and Jamie McElveen (Todd) of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Shane Ferrel of Orlando, Jason Crawford of Charlotte, Caleb and Danielle Cobb of New Bern, Austin Henley of Walnut Cove, Kayse Henley of Boone, Andrew Bell, twins, Riley and Hayden Frazer of Winston-Salem, and one great-great grandson, Tyler Ferrel of Phoenix, AZ. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Old 421, with her grandson, Dr. Stephen Cobb officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
