Kernersville - Bertha May Manring Ridings Stewart, 87, went home to be with Jesus on February 28, 2016 and is now at rest. Bertha was born on March 6, 1928 in Stokes County to the late Ernest and Beatrice Manring. She retired from RJ Reynolds. In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by her brother, Curtis Manring. Bertha is survived by two daughters, Connie Hauser of Yadkinville and Ruth Watts of Tobaccoville; three sons, Harold Ridings (wife, Bertha) of Winston-Salem, Billy Ray Ridings of Yadkinville, and Tommy David Ridings of Tobaccoville; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Janie Akers Priddy of Walkertown and Shirley Steele of High Point; one brother, Hassell Manring of Lexington; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Floral Garden Memorial Park in High Point. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, February 29, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
