Bertha Wilmeta Holderfield

Kernersville-Bertha Wilmeta Holderfield, 81, a wonderful, precious mother ready to meet her Lord, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at her home. She was born May 31, 1930 in Guilford Co. to the late Joe and Stella Lawson Durham. Bertha loved everyone, and was a wonderful Nanny to her sixteen grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Tuggle; her second husband, Harold Holderfield; three brothers and five sisters. Surviving are two sons, Wayne Tuggle of Raleigh, Henry Tuggle and wife, Renee of Trinity; two daughters, Vickie T. Eaton of Kernersville, and Sherri H. Cargal and husband, Timothy of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Paula Jo Gregory, Jon Joyner (Wendy), Angela Rivenbark (Richard), Henry Tuggle, Jr., Crystal Kinley, Eric Cargal, Larissa Cargal; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jordan, Hayley, Samantha, Marissa, Jordan; one adopted granddaughter, Mary Rand; two sisters, Juanita Hunt and Mildred Coble. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating. Burial will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, August 29, 2011 in Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Friday, August 26, 2011 at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Lena Harrison for the dedication and care she gave to Mrs. Holderfield and family.
