Bert Wilbur Phillips

Mr. Bert Wilbur Phillips, a two tour WWII veteran, passed away peacefully at his home in Rural Hall. He was preceded in his death by his true love, his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth E. Phillips. He is survived by four children Steven L. Phillips - Greensboro, NC, Madeline S. Fenn - Greensboro, NC, Mr. & Mrs. Randy G. Phillips - Winston-Salem, NC, and Timothy W. Phillips - Chicago, IL. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Elizabeth Boulden, Nicole Harding, and Nicholas Phillips: three great-grandchildren and his devoted sister Gladys Jones of Elk Park, NC. Above all, Mr. Phillips was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by many. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 7-9 Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 Monday, August 29, 2011 at Woodland Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, NC. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.
