Mrs. Bernice Enscore Bodford, 88, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010. She was born September 13, 1921 in Forsyth County to John Bynum and Lela Perdue Enscore. Mrs. Bodford was of the Baptist faith and dedicated her life to her family. She worked at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company several years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Samuel Bodford; one sister and four brothers. Surviving are two sons, Tom Bodford (Julie) of Gibsonville and Alvin Bodford (Brenda) of Greensboro; one daughter, Helen Bodford Holt of Winston-Salem; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Floyd (Doug) of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Norwood Green and Chaplain Robin Sides officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
