Berma T. Foster passed away peacefully on April 27, 2012. It was the kind of day that she loved the most with spring flowers blooming and birds singing. She was a life long resident of Davie County and a life time member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She and Eugene Foster were married in 1944. They were married for 54 years until his death in 1998. When Gene left for service in the US Army she worked on the farm and helped the war effort by working at the Carbon Plant and later at Western Electric. She was a creative and artistic person, writing stories and poems, growing and arranging flowers, sewing, making jewelry and painting. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake cakes and pies. She looked forward every year to the Dixie Classic Fair, where she won numerous ribbons and awards. Berma always loved Josephine's cooking. She is survived by two children Kenny Foster and wife Josephine and Neal Foster and wife Kim; two grandchildren Benjamin and Jonathan Foster; and a step grandson Bryan Scott and wife Kelly. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday April 30, 2012 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Pastor Barry Lemons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery and the family will receive friends following the service. The family would like to especially give thanks to the staff at Autumn Care of Mocksville and to Hospice and Palliative Care Center. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the forever fund at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Online condolences can be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
