Berlie Isley Mabe

On Wednesday, May 31, 2017, our precious mother, lovingly known to her family as Mamaw, passed into eternity and was reunited with her beloved Marvin and beheld her Savior face to face.

Berlie Isley Mabe, 93, was born December 19, 1923, in Rockingham County to the late William Newton Isley and Lizzie Jones Isley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Marvin Mabe, and her brother, ""Bud"" Isley.
Berlie is survived by her daughter Donna Loomis (Phil), her son, C.M. ""Buster"" Mabe, Jr. (Cindy); her grandchildren, Brett Mabe (Susan), Lori Loomis Livingston (Eric), Jana Mabe, Danielle Mabe, and Chad Mabe; two great-grandchildren, Adrienne Livingston and Sarah Mabe; her sisters, Dorothy Mabe, Roberta Knott, and Shirley Coon; her brothers, Jim Isley, Don Isley (Dottie) and Jerry Isley (Peggy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Berlie was a faithful member of Gospel Light Baptist Church for over 65 years and retired from Western Electric with 30 years of service.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 1:45pm on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Gospel Light Baptist Church followed by her funeral service at 2:00pm with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
