Benjamin Dale Stack

COLFAX-Mr. Benjamin Dale Stack, 83, previously of 8930 Bending Road, died March 1, 2012 at Westchester Manor Nursing Home in High Point. He was born March 21, 1928, in Guilford County to the late Benjamin H. and Mary Hastings Stack. Dale retired from Pilot Freight as a diesel mechanic but was a farmer at heart! In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Idol Stack; a brother, Wayne Stack; a sister, Pearle Stack; a sister-in-law, Mary H. Stack and three brothers-in-law, Wayne Idol, Wendell Idol and Lee Idol. Surviving are two sons, Larry Dale Stack (wife, Jeanne) and Ronnie Glen Stack (wife, Rhonda) of Colfax; and a daughter, Joyce Ann Nelson (husband, Robert) of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Jerold Stack (wife, Violet) of Colfax, Howard Stack of Raleigh; one sister, Kathleen Atchison (husband, Marvin) of Colfax; and three sisters-in-law, Irene Stack of Colfax; Barbara Idol of Kernersville and Helen Idol of High Point; three grandchildren: Ashley Stack, Rob Nelson (Michelle) and Kim Nelson-Wood(Kevin); three great grandchildren: Courtney Nelson, Hunter Nelson and Danielle Wood; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Phil Bauguess officiating. Burial will follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
