Belle Newberry Crawford

Mrs. Belle Newberry Crawford, 78, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1934 in Fairmont, NC, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Kathleen Newberry. Mrs. Crawford was a member of Hope Moravian Church and was retired from AT&T. She was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Newberry and her sister, Jimmie DeYoe. Survivors include her children, Vicki Plemmons (Chris) of Clemmons and Robert Yow of Winston-Salem and Brian Yow (Sandy) of Guam. She had five grandchildren: a very special grandson, Zann Yow, as well as Robert and Brooks Plemmons, and Bella and Silas Yow. She had a great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Plemmons. Her brothers and sisters, Cecil Newberry, Mack Newberry (Bernice), Diane Paige (A.C.), and Jean Baxley. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, January 4, 2013 at Hope Moravian Church with the Rev. David Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Hope Moravian Church, 2759 Hope Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
