Beatrice Mershon

Beatrice Mershon, age 99, died peacefully at her home in Bermuda Village surrounded by her loving family on March 10, 2010. Bea was born on March 9, 1911 in NYC, the only child of Jane and Nathan Cohen. As a young woman she trained to be a classical dancer and that passion and appreciation for the arts stayed with her throughout her life. Her sharp intellect and sense of humor along with her engaging smile will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Albert Mershon and is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Mershon of Winston-Salem and Micki Shulman of Tuscon; 5 grandchildren, Michele Termotto and Mitch Termotto of Winston-Salem, Debbie Gerogianis of Lauderhill, Fl, Lisa Iacovelli of San Francisco and Wendy White of Boston; 8 great grandchildren, Alison Sidrane, Jaime Gerson, Samantha Leonard, Alissa While, Evan White, Jessica Iacovelli, Matthew Iacovelli, and Finn Wingo Pierce. A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Bermuda Village with Rabbi Dr. Andrew Ettin officiating. Online condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com.
