HUFFMAN - Winston-Salem Mrs. Beatrice Marie Perry Stout Huffman, 90, passed away December 25, 2009 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Roan County, TN on November 11, 1919 to the late L.L. Perry and Nancy Jane Tomlin Perry. Mrs. Huffman was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. She devoted her life to her children and husbands. An angel on Earth is now in Heaven. As she lived, she passed with beauty and grace. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Huffman was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard B. Stout Sr. and her second husband, Alvin Lester Huffman; six sisters and four brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Marshall (John) of King, and Susan Huffman Barbour of Winston-Salem; one son, Bernard ""Sonny"" Stout Jr. (Brenda) of Winston-Salem; one granddaughter, Leigh Anna Barbour (Travis) of King; two step-grandchildren, Eric Marshall (Laura) of Winston-Salem and Jackie McColister (Chuck) of Florida; seven step-great-grandchildren, Victoria, Joshua, Rachel, Gabriel, Elijah, Maysun and Luke; several nieces, nephews and other family friends; also a very special buddy, Albert. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, December 28 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Charles Carver officiating. The burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 27 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Hospice.
