Basil Saford Phibbs

Mr. Basil Saford Phibbs, 72 of Pfafftown, died Sunday, December 20th, 2015. He was born on June 30, 1943 in Carroll County, VA to Mae McMillian and Coligny Phibbs. He was the greatest Husband, father and Grandfather that you could asked for. He was Owner and operator of Phibbs construction Company for many years. He loved to camp and enjoyed his bluegrass music. He had many wonderful friends to whom he would share this love with way to many to name. His love for building and creating lifetime friends will be forever missed. He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years-Beatrice Phibbs, one son Buddy phibbs(Tammy). Two grand children-Bud Phibbs(Nicole Giannopoulos), Samantha Phibbs(Zack Stanley), one great Grandson-Garrett Cannon Doub -he was always making Basil smile even when he felt bad. One sister-Lena Matherley. Also, his furry best friend Kepper. Basil was blessed with many wonderful family members that would came by to sit and talk. Basil enjoyed every minute. Proceeding him in death is 3 brothers and 2 sisters. The service will be Wednesday 23rd with viewing at 1:00pm and the service will begin at 2:00 at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel by Rev David Maynard and Pastor Rick Hughes. Burial will follow to West Lawn Gardens of Memory 6135 Ridgecrest Road WS. Donations can be made to Community Home Care & Hospice
