Bart Edward Brown

Bart Edward Brown, 44, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his home. He was born June 6, 1971 to James S. (Jim) and Brenda Long Brown. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bart and Ila Brandon Brown and Edward (Ed) and Shirley Shore Long. He is survived by his parents; uncles, Steve Brown, Gayle Renegar Brown, Gary (Joel) Long; cousins, Megan Long Laskarzewski (Seth), Brad Oliver (Angela) and Stephanie Brown Wilson (Marcus). He had many wonderful friends that he loved dearly. Bart was employed by B/E AEROSPACE, INC. He enjoyed writing, music, playing his guitars, and riding bikes. He had a special talent of telling stories and imitating people. Bart graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School in 1989. He attended Isothermal Community College and graduated in 1993 with an Associates Degree of Applied Science in radio and television broadcasting technology. He received the Lenior-Rhyne Chapter ITVA Crystal Award and I.C.C. Radio/TV Broadcasting Technology Award in 1993. He also worked for News Channel 12 WXII-TV after graduating. A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Please join the family for a reception following the service at Hayworth-Miller.
