Barry Leigh lacey

Winston-Salem resident, Barry Leigh Lacey, 62, passed away unexpectedly July 15, 2013. Barry was born March 18, 1951, in Lebanon, Tennessee. He married his bride, Gayle Dee (Church) Lacey, on June 22, 1974, in Jacksonville, Florida. Throughout his life, Barry, enjoyed hiking, boating, and camping. His favorite pastime was listening to his bride play the piano and music by The Eagles. He freely gave of his time, energy, and love to support his family in every way. He is survived by his bride of 39 years, Gayle; son, Michael Lacey (Melissa); son, Jeff Lacey (Sheresa), grandchildren, Cole, Noah, and Ava; brother, Chris Lacey (Pam), and sisters, Janice Butler (Cleo), Carole Peacher, and Jennifer Stephenson (William). Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Viness and Virginia Lacey. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Winston-Salem on Friday, July 19th from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. The Celebration of Life will be held at First Presbyterian Church (Building A Chapel) in Winston-Salem on Saturday, July 20th at 1:00 P.M.
