Barbara Jones Wimsatt

Madison - Barbara Jones Wimsatt, of Madison, died Friday, December 26, 2008 at her home. She was born in Washington County, Kentucky, to the late William Jones and Lela Tennale Jones. Barbara retired from Lorillard Tobacco Co. where she was a Stockroom Clerk. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in Kernersville. Barbara was preceded in death by a brother, Vance Jones and sister, Arnetta Ewing. She is survived by her husband, Robert Wimsatt, of the home; one daughter, Teresa Hendricks (Kenneth), New Albany, IN; two sons, James Watson, Goshen, KY; Terry Cheatham (Tammy), Walnut Cove; a stepdaughter, Tammy Jo LaMaster (Jeff), Scottsburg, IN; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Billie Cox, Kernersville; and her special companion and canine friend, Angel. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Pastor Harry Sammons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
