Mrs. Barbara Jean Walker Tullock, 70, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 31, 2009 at her home in King. She was born in Forsyth County on December 14, 1939 to the late William and Juanita Caudle Walker. Mrs. Tullock was a loving mother, nana and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. While living with her son in Weaverville she attended North Asheville Baptist Church. She loved to watch old movies and her favorite song was ""Unchained Melody'. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin David Tullock, two sons, David Christopher Tullock and Roger Lynn Tullock, one sister, Ann Boger, a step-sister, Tracey Walker and two step-brothers, Ronald and Donald Burcham. Mrs. Tullock is survived by two sons, Joseph Tullock and wife Kelly of Weaverville and Darrell Tullock of King, three grandchildren, Kenneth Roger Tullock of Winston-Salem, Amber Lynn Tullock of King and Leann Grace Tullock of Weaverville, one sister, Anita Ward and husband Tommy of King, three brothers, Blake Walker, Wendell Walker and wife Kathy and Gary Walker and wife Sarah all of Germanton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Tullock will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening, January 3, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
