Barbara Jean Smith

Barbara Jean Smith, age 72, of Winston Salem, NC, went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 1st, 2016. She was an active member at Heritage Hills Baptist Church. She was retired from Josten's Publishing Company and worked for Stephen Freeman, ETA, with her niece for 12 years. Barbara had a very kind-hearted and caring soul that will be remembered and cherished in the memories of all her loved ones that she has left behind. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Bell Smith. She is survived by her son, Roland Branch Jr., her sister, Edna Taylor, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Barbara's wake will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the funeral service will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, March 7th, 2016 at Heritage Hills Baptist Church. Following the service, entombment will take place at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home and Crematorium, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, N.C. 27103.
