Barbara Salisbury Shamblin

Germanton - Surrounded by numerous loved ones, Barbara Salisbury Shamblin was called home by the Lord on March 21, 2012. Barbara is met by her daughter, Kimberly Shamblin at the gates of her Father's Kingdom. Barbara was the loving wife of Oak Shamblin of Germanton for 35 beautiful years. They had five children, Vicki White and husband, Jimmy, Jay Shamblin and wife, Candy all of Germanton, Sonny Shamblin and wife, Joey, and Denny Lahey all of Winston Salem. Along with the love of her children, Barbara is survived by her 8 adoring grandchildren, Irelynn ""Sunshine"", Joseph, Darian, Quinton, Bradley, Savannah, Trae and Stephon; sister, Debbie Nelson of Ohio; and many other precious family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2012 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Faith of God Ministries. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made at any Suntrust Bank in Oak Shamblin's name. The family appreciates your continued thoughts and prayers.
