Barbara Gibbs Schrader

Ms. Barbara Ann Gibbs Schrader, 80, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born to the late Lyda Inez Quesenberry Gibbs and Thomas Harmon Gibbs on December 8, 1935, in Pulaski, VA. Barbara retired from Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in King. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by five siblings. She is survived by four children: Sherry Snyder (Buck), Lisa Schrader, Kenny Schrader (Debi), and Tina Bailey (Steve); thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Gary Rosenbaum (Fonda); her canine companion, Toby; and a host of extended family. A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday, February 20, at Calvary Baptist Church in King with Pastors Kevin Broyhill, Roger Baker, and Kerry Sheppard officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A committal service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, at Thornspring United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dublin, VA.
